Hi Reader, I was thinking the other week that yoga teachers jobs will be safe with this new AI boom changing the face of the workforce and replacing jobs left-right-and-center. But are we? This is one of the many things I talked about with Amanda Paz this week on The All Mats Taken Yoga Business Podcast. Amanda is a yoga teacher, Yoga Biz Mentor, who's got a wee obsession with all things new tech and is a self-confessed early adopter so it was really fun hearing all of the ways she's been using it in her teaching business and ways her clients have been using it too. 🎙️ Listen on Apple Like it or hate it, AI is here to stay. I was personally terrified at first. I grew up watching science fiction and the robot apocalypse doesn't go well for us as humans. Hello, I mean i, Robot was set in 2035 🤯. That's close! Then I thought, well, if you can't beat em, join em. So I'm very nice to my ChatGPT and Claude and hopefully they'll be my buddies when they decide to take over. All jokes aside (sort of...) this isn't quite how AI works. At least not yet. But we're in a critical time period where we actually have the power to change how the world works! And while I tend to be a bit overly dramatic, I'm actually not this time. The thing is AI is amazing at pattern recognition. This is how it works. It seeks out patterns in large sets of data. It also learns based on the interactions we have with it. The problem is, there tends to be a certain subset of the population (aka men) who jump onto tech early. My dear friend Amanda being an outlier. Now this isn't to knock men. Not at all. But unless a broader range of the population jumps on board and starts to interact with these technologies, it's going to get a narrow view of humanity, the way we speak and the way we interact. Our interests and values and so forth. Then as big tech hops onto AI more and more and this thing grows exponentially a large subset of the population (aka women) is going to be left behind. After learning about this key of how it works I'm now quite passionate about talking about AI and encouraging fellow women, yoga teachers and wellness entrepreneurs to get on board so it understands us! We study and share beautiful healing teachings and this is an pivitol opportunity to incorporate those into fabric of the future. PLUS, when used strategically, it has amazing time-saving uses which I need as I create this podcast, the summit, teach yoga, and be a single Mama to my baby boy. After the summit, I have a list of AI plans to implement to make my workflows even more efficient and actually make all of this not only achievable but enjoyable and able to scale as a solopreneur in ways that I've only dreamed about for years but was knobbled because I couldn't afford a VA and I'm only one human. Now I can have a team of assistants to handle a large chunk of the admin grunt work that I don't particularly enjoy (like writing show notes and IG posts) and instead I can focus on the fun high-level stuff of collaborations, creating workshops and retreats, teaching more, and most importantly being a present mother. And ultimately those are all the things you want too right? I know you didn't become a yoga teacher to be stuck behind a computer all day. You want to help people discover the benefits of this beautiful practice and have freedom and flexibility in your schedule to travel, spend time with your family, friends and the other passions and hobbies you have in your life. Leveraging AI to help take pressure off all the admin stuff you don't want to do actually makes this dream an achievable reality without the pressure of earning enough to pay a huge team to cover this work for you. That's exciting. That's what quickly turned my doomsday fears 180 degrees into obsession. It's like the whole "money is the root of all evil" thing but it's not the money, it's the user. How will you use it? This technology has the power to AMPLIFY. So yes, unfortunately, there are people out there who will see it as an opportunity to scam people and be kind of evil with it. But as wellness entrepreneurs and all-around good, passionate, loving people, we're not going to be doing that. So let's not let those people shape the way these technologies understand humanity. Definitely give this episode a listen to get some tips on awesome ways yoga teachers are using AI to grow their businesses and make teaching easier. 🎙️ Listen on Apple And if you want to learn more my presentation at The All Mats Taken Summit will be about how to write better prompts to get better output (the complicated technical term being prompt engineering) AND the All Access Pass VIP's will be joining me in my post-summit beta course, where you'll be setting up your first AI assistant to help you repurpose your content so you can amplify your message and be everywhere without spending hours (if not days) to show up across multiple platforms. If you're already using AI I'd love to know what you're using it for! Or if you're resisting, what's making you hesitate? Hit reply and let me know. With gratitude, Adrianne Jerrett P.S. Click here to register for the summit for free and watch all the presentations next week. You'll then have the option to upgrade to the VIP Pass and get instant access to a bunch of premium speaker bonuses (RRP over $8000) plus you'll be signed up to build your first AI Assistant with me in June. |
I’m Adrianne, a web designer in NZ with way too many yoga mats, loads of strategy and a whole lot of heart. I began Jerrett Digital Website Design & The All Mats Taken Podcast because I saw so many yoga teachers and wellness brands leaving money on the table. Their brands and websites looked good, but had no strategy, no intuitive user experience, and no obvious pathway to conversion. In my newsletter, podcast and through online events I help teach yoga teachers and wellness professionals grow their online presence and build their businesses with strategy and heart their way.
Hey Reader, The All Mats Taken Summit kicks off in just a few hours! I've stocked up on my kombucha and bliss ball stash and I'm a buzzing and much more awake than I should be based on the amount of sleep I've had lately tieing off the loose ends! Before we dive into four days of transformation for your yoga teaching business, I wanted to address some of the most common questions I’ve been getting (and announce a surprise bonus!). Hey Reader, The All Mats Taken Summit speaker lineup is finally ready to share, and I am seriously pinching myself about the incredible experts who’ve agreed to join us! I’ve carefully selected teachers, business mentors, and marketing specialists who understand the unique challenges we face as yoga teachers—people who won’t just tell you to “hustle harder” or use tactics that feel misaligned with yogic values. Here’s just a glimpse of who you’ll be learning from May 15-18: DAY 1: MINDSET &...
Hi Reader, I’ll be honest (and you may have already heard me say this) but Instagram…scratch that…social media is not my favorite place to be. It’s just not how I spend my time naturally. I'm aging myself somewhat saying this but I didn't grow up with it. Facebook only came to be a thing for us in my late teens and I didn't have a smart phone till my mid-twenties (I was a late adopter however). I just never really got the hang of it personally so it's a challenge to force myself...
