Hi Reader, If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if I could whip them up a website in a couple of days. Well, I'd have more dollars than I have today that's for sure. The thing is, I can as long as there are a few things in place first to actually make it worth the time and effort so it works for you and your business. Unfortunately, I don't think I've ever had someone ask me this and actually have these 4 things ready. So this is what today's podcast episode is all about 4 things you need BEFORE building a website. It doesn't matter what platform you will be using, all websites need their foundations set. This website is for anyone thinking about building a website. It's also a great checklist for anyone who has an existing website and wants to make sure they have their foundations set up. 🎙️ Listen on Apple In other news, have you signed up for the workshop yet? If you missed last week's email, my lovely friend Manu Molina is hosting a free workshop about How To Successfully Lead an International Retreat for everyone in The All Mats Taken community this week (see times below). Retreats are such a hot topic lately and so many yoga teachers I've been talking to lately incorporate some version of a retreat into their offers suite to help them earn a sustainable income and live as a full-time yoga teacher. In this workshop, he'll be answering questions like: 🌍 What does it take to successfully lead an international retreat? 💰 How can I make it a profitable project? 🏝️ What venue and destination should I choose? 📣 How do I promote and sell it? 🧘♀️ What are the best tips while I am leading my retreat? If this sounds like something you want to learn more about and you haven't yet signed up you can do so here: How To Successfully Lead an International Retreat. If you can't make the live time there will be a replay available. Look forward to seeing you this week! Adrianne P.S. If you've already signed up YAY, I look forward to seeing you there please consider this a friendly reminder :). Manu will send you all the workshop details. P.P.S. I’m Adrianne, a web designer in NZ with way too many yoga mats, loads of strategy and a whole lot of heart. I began Jerrett Digital Website Design & The All Mats Taken Podcast because I saw so many yoga teachers and wellness brands leaving money on the table. Their brands and websites looked good, but had no strategy, no intuitive user experience, and no obvious pathway to conversion. In my newsletter, podcast and through online events I help teach yoga teachers and wellness professionals grow their online presence and build their businesses with strategy and heart their way.
Hi Reader, I’ll be honest (and you may have already heard me say this) but Instagram…scratch that…social media is not my favorite place to be. It’s just not how I spend my time naturally. I'm aging myself somewhat saying this but I didn't grow up with it. Facebook only came to be a thing for us in my late teens and I didn't have a smart phone till my mid-twenties (I was a late adopter however). I just never really got the hang of it personally so it's a challenge to force myself...
Hi Reader, Business and marketing has been an ongoing fascination for me. It doesn't come naturally like some other things. This is one reason I started this community. I'm not a business coach, expert, or guru. I'm a brand/website designer and newbie yoga teacher/educator. I've got questions and like you, I’m seeking the answers. This week I came across a local retreat seeking yoga teachers and other holistic wellness professionals. It sounds like a great opportunity but I've never taught...
Hi Reader, For the past 6 months since having my boy asana has been a very minimal (practically non-existent) part of my life and routine. It's only been in the past few weeks now that he's sitting up on his own and a bit happier to play by himself with his newfound independence that I've been able to get back on my mat for Mums and Bubs classes once a week. While I missed being able to connect with my body in this way, this time also opened up space for me to explore the other limbs and more...
